What This Is

Virginia Muslim Matrimonial is a free service run by volunteers at Virginia masājid. It introduces Sunni brothers and sisters to each other for marriage. There is nothing to pay, no membership, and no paid tier.

Who It Is For

Muslim adults who are free to marry and are looking for marriage. It is not a place to make friends, and it is not a dating service.

Profiles

Only the official form is accepted. Every profile is read by an admin before it goes up, and every profile needs a reference. An admin can decline a profile, ask for more, or take one down, and does not have to explain why.

What We Do Not Do

We do not run background checks. We do not verify what anyone tells us about their job, their income, their family, or their past. We pass on what a person has written about themselves and a reference who vouches for them.

Do your own checking before you commit to anything. Meet with your walī or family present, ask the reference, and take your time. Nobody here can promise you a match, and nobody here is responsible for how a marriage turns out.

How to Behave

No contacting someone outside the process. No pressure, no repeat asks after a no, no forwarding another member's profile or details anywhere. Anyone who does this is removed, and the masjid they came through may be told.

Confidentiality

What you see in the group stays in the group. Screenshots, forwards and group chatter about other members are all grounds for removal.

Changes

If this changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
